Will Secretariat's 2:24 Belmont ever be beaten?

This has got to be one of the most difficult records to beat in all of sports.  The only way that I see this record being beaten is if they change the track surface at Belmont.  If they don't change the track surface at Belmont, can this record ever be beaten?  I just don't see it happening.  In the last 100 years, Easy Goer in 1989 has the 2nd fastest time to Secretariat and he ran it in 2:26.  That's still 10 lengths behind Secretariat!  For all of you who think Man O' War is the greatest race horse of all time, he ran a time adjusted 2:27 1/5 in his winning Belmont or 16 lengths behind Secretariat.
